Child Safety Standards

UwU Live is committed to protecting minors from exploitation and abuse. This page describes our child safety policies, how to report concerns, and the actions we take when violations occur.

Zero Tolerance for Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE)

UwU Live maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) on our platform. Any content, conduct, or account that endangers minors is prohibited and will be removed. Violators are subject to immediate account suspension or termination and may be reported to law enforcement. There is no warning, grace period, or appeal for confirmed child sexual exploitation.

Prohibited Content and Conduct

UwU Live strictly prohibits the following on every surface of the platform — profiles, posts, videos, photos, comments, direct messages, live streams, PK Battles, Multi-Live, communities, and all other features:
  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind, including realistic or photorealistic depictions
  • Grooming behavior — building trust with a minor for the purpose of sexual abuse or exploitation
  • Sextortion — coercing or threatening a minor into providing sexual material or compliance
  • Child trafficking and any content that facilitates, promotes, or profits from the trafficking of minors
  • Sexual exploitation of minors in any form, including content that sexualizes or objectifies children
  • Soliciting sexual material, sexual contact, or sexual communication with anyone under 18
  • Content that depicts, encourages, or facilitates the abuse or endangerment of minors
  • Any attempt to bypass age restrictions or verification systems to access minors

How to Report Child Safety Concerns

If you encounter content or behavior that endangers a minor, report it immediately through the in-app reporting system:
  1. Open the profile, post, video, comment, direct message, or live stream containing the concerning content.
  2. Tap the report button (flag icon) on that content or user profile.
  3. Select “Minor safety” as the report reason.
  4. Provide any additional details that help us understand the concern.
  5. Submit the report. You will receive a confirmation that it has been received.

Reports are confidential — the reported user is never told who filed the report. For urgent situations involving immediate danger to a minor, also contact local law enforcement or emergency services.

Investigation and Enforcement

Every child safety report is reviewed by UwU Live's moderation team. Reported violations are investigated and appropriate enforcement action is taken, which may include:
  • Immediate removal of prohibited content
  • Suspension of the account responsible
  • Termination (deactivation) of the account for serious or confirmed violations
  • Reporting to law enforcement or child protection authorities where required

A report alone does not automatically prove a violation — each report is reviewed before action is taken. However, confirmed child safety violations carry the most severe enforcement available on UwU Live, up to and including permanent account deactivation.

Legal Compliance and Reporting to Authorities

UwU Live is committed to complying with applicable child safety laws, including laws that require reporting of child sexual abuse material to the appropriate authorities. Where required by law, UwU Live will report confirmed CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and cooperate with law enforcement investigations.

Designated Child Safety Contact

For child safety questions, concerns, or reports that cannot be submitted through the in-app reporting system, contact our designated child safety team:

This mailbox is monitored for child safety concerns. For all other support requests, use the in-app Help & Support page.

Age Restrictions and Protections for Minors

UwU Live is not directed to anyone below the minimum age required to use the platform in their jurisdiction. The specific minimum-age threshold is pending final policy and legal review. UwU Live does not knowingly collect personal information from children below the minimum age and removes known underage accounts when identified.

Certain features — including live streaming, creator monetization, and 18+ content features — require users to be 18 or older and to complete third-party age verification. UwU Live uses an age verification system that requires creators using these features to verify their age through a third-party provider. Verification status is maintained in an authoritative backend record that users cannot edit directly, preventing bypass.

If you believe a minor is using UwU Live in violation of these age restrictions, report the account through the in-app reporting system (select “Minor safety”) or contact our designated child safety email above.
